Friends of After the Races

This page is a work in progress.  The intent is to list those individuals and companies who have supported After the Races through discounts or significant direct financial support.  If you would like your business to be listed here, please contact us for more information on how to get listed.

Turning for Home: Turning for Home is the organization through which the majority of our Thoroughbreds come to us.  TFH is a retirement program based at Parx Casino and Racing which facilitates retirement of Thoroughbreds from that track. It is funded through contributions from owners and jockeys as well as the PTHA. You can find more information about them on their website.

Unionville Equine: Unionville Equine has been AtR’s veterinary practice of choice since late 2011. Dr. Mark Donaldson is our primary vet, and it is with his help as well as other veterinarians at Unionville that we are able to organize rehabilitation schedules for our horses, and they are quick to support us in any way they can regarding our horses’ care and medical needs.  We cannot recommend them enough!

Tony Guest, FarrierTony Gust, Foremost Farrier: Tony has been with After the Races since the beginning and we could not thank him enough for all the work he has provided to us at a price we can afford.  His work is excellent and we highly recommend giving him a try.  You can contact Tony at 484-942-8849.

logo125 New Start is the Thoroughbred retirement program based out of Penn National near Hershey, Pennsylvania.  After the Races has been partnered with New Start since early 2014 and they are a wonderful, younger retirement program that could use your support.

Second Call is the Thoroughbred retirement program based out of Monmouth Park in New Jersey. Second Call is a great organization that strives to evaluate every horse that enters their program before sending it to us here at After the Races for rehabilitation, retraining, and rehoming. After the Races has been working with Second Call since 2014 and we cannot say enough great things about them!
