Summer is officially here as temperatures and humidity start to soar, but we’re still rocking away here at After the Races. June has been a very successful month for After the Races with over six horses adopted already, but there’s no reason to stop there!

A few of our success stories from June include Sara Bay, who found her forever home with Emily in the foothills of Pennsylvania as a trail horse and dressage pony. Silent Indian also found a trail home with Katharine in the mountains of North Carolina (to be delivered shortly!). Mo Bandit found a home with Melissa in Kentucky. BeQuick Don’t Hurry went to repeat adopter Rachael in Maryland as an event prospect. Pink Napkins went to the Eastern Shore of North Carolina with Colleen as her future event prospect. Diva went to Alabama as an event prospect for new owner DJ and I’m probably forgetting someone!

We have lots of lovely horses left for adoption and more always coming in. Whether you’re looking for something slow and steady for quiet trails or as a family horse or if you’re looking for your next competitive prospect, we hope you’ll give our guys a chance. We encourage you to contact us if you know what you’re looking for and we will steer you in the right direction as you search.

Thank you again for all the support and even if you’re not looking to adopt, remember you can always DONATE or VOLUNTEER! Just follow the appropriate links on our home page for more information.
